Puppy Raisers know practice makes perfect!

An enormous amount of energy and dedication goes into training each of our mobility assistance dogs. Practice does indeed make perfect! Genesis Assistance Dogs, Inc. newest Puppy Raisers, Robin and Dana, are seen here walking Service Dog in Training, Iggy. Notice how Iggy is showing off how nicely he walks on a loose leash during only their second practice session together! Puppy Raisers play an integral role in the successful development and training of our service dogs. Our Puppy Raisers are constantly in touch with our trainer. This provides consistency in the training process.  Each Puppy Raiser will spend several months to a year with their dog in training.

Our Puppy Raisers are individuals who are committed to helping Genesis Assistance Dogs, Inc. continue the mission of providing ability and independence to the disabled through Service Dog placement and training. Their dedication and passion to our Service Dogs in Training is truly a gift of love.  They invest so much time and effort to ensure our dogs are always giving the best support to their ultimate human partners.
