He has a name; it’s perfect for our Genesis Assistance Puppy In Training!
We are so grateful to everyone who submitted a suggestion for our Genesis Assistance Puppy In Training! Finally, he has a name! Almost 100 ideas were presented to our Board of Directors, and his name is… well, wait a second. First, you need to know that the names were provided to our Board members in no particular order, and with the name of the person submitting the suggestion remaining completely anonymous.
The Board then worked hard to whittle down the list to the top 5, then the top 3, and then there was a dead heat for the top 2. It was a suspense-filled 2 days as emails flew back and forth across the Internet. After four rounds of voting we are thrilled to introduce you to OLIVER!
Isn’t it just the perfect name for this playful and eager to learn pup? And who do we have to thank for this great name idea? Robin Burger! Thanks Robin for suggesting the name that suits our little boy to the tee!
There will be many coming Oliver adventures to share as he travels the road to becoming a Genesis Assistance Dog. Oliver will be staying with the Eagle’s for approximately the next 6 – 8 months, and will visit often with Lake and Eagle to help him maintain his socialization behaviors with other canines.
Training has already begun with Director of Training , Jennifer Bielen and Oliver’s personality has come shining through with his inquisitive nature and eagerness to please. We are confident that this little guy will grow big and strong while learning to provide invaluable assistance to someone who needs him. There’s no doubt that Oliver will go on to do amazing things!
Here are a few more pictures of our little Oliver. Enjoy!
